Praise. The. Lord.
Couldn't have made it without the grace of God, and the grace of this one below, for sure.
He makes the perfect Panera lunch date.

I've gotten a couple of grades back...still waiting on two more.
Quite pleased with the first two.
We'll see how Federal Taxation of Gifts, Trusts, and Estates plays out...I mean, doesn't that just sound bad?
And of course...waiting on my seminar paper grade.
Waiting to see if I'll be working on getting it published this summer.
Anybody interested in the inadequacy of Compassionate Release and the increasing elder population in federal prisons?
Losing readers as we speak.
If I didn't have such good friends, I would have lost a few of those too by the time it was all said and done.
This was my paper and research when I turned it in...
a momentous occasion.

A timely visit from my sweet Nana helped me make it through.
At a bare minimum, and to be fair, it does help when your law school campus looks like this.

Too bad all of my time on campus was spent shutting down the law library, and not spent lounging at the pool.
I wasn't kidding when I told you that my entire semester was consumed by school and my 50+ page seminar paper.

We even worked through weekends.
I say "we" because my husband is also working toward his MBA.
Fun bunch we are around exam time, eh?
We both graduate in December.
Yes, we are counting the days.
So while our normal weekend shenanigans have been limited since January, I plan on making up for it this summer.
We both have the summer off from classes.
A glorious, unexpected surprise for me.
Turns out I had more hours than I thought I did, and I can knock out this little J.D. entirely in the fall.
We both needed a break.
Bad.
Of course, the second we have some extra time on our hands, what do we do?
With the most darling little pooch.
Meet Pierre.
Just celebrated his second birthday.
The first official addition to the Ferri family.
We are so excited, and we love him so much already.
I will certainly have more to share about his adoption story, but for today, I just wanted to let you all know that I made it out of Spring 2012 alive and well.
We have so many fun events coming up this summer with family and friends, and I can't wait to share them with all of you.
My husband asked me today, Can you start blogging again soon?
It was time :)
So excited to be back in the swing of things...with a new bebe in tow!
So glad you are back and your semester is done! Are you working this summer? Enjoy your last official summer! (I wish I had just one more...)
ReplyDeleteWow! Congrats to you for getting through so much school! That is a ton of work. I always admire people who are driven and can just get it done.
