Now before you get too excited by the title of this post...
this drink is not alcoholic.
Although you probably could add a splash of vodka if you wished.
Nor do I REALLY know how many calories it has in it.
Because I made it up.
But it can't be more than 10.
Unless you do add the splash of vodka.
I should have just changed the name of the post instead of typing all those disclaimers.
Moving along...
When the days are hot, and you want something refreshing without the calories, grab the following:
Ice.
Sparkling Water.
Whatever fruit you can find in your fridge.
Mint leaves from your plant outside.
I am partial to berries and pineapple because I think they have the most juice.
And because they are cheap when in season.
If you don't have a mint plant, grab a cutting from the grocery store and grow one.
They are SO easy to grow in summer.
Even mine has exploded.
And then you can make mojitos whenever your heart desires.
Which most definitely have more than 10 calories.
But you'll have fresh mint.
Somehow in a post about a non-alcoholic drink, I have managed to reference no less than two alcoholic drinks already.
Anywho, muddle your fruit and mint together to get the juices flowing.
Top with ice and sparkling water.
Stir with straw.
Enjoy.
Easy peasy, right?
Even Eric likes it, but he adds a bit of sweetener to his.
I like it with just fruit.
I like it with just fruit.
Delicious, and a welcome treat on hot summer days that you don't have to feel guilty about.
And we could all use a little less guilt.
Hope you enjoy ladies :)
