Big, Fast Change

This wreath will still be ours...

but the door won't be for long!

Long story short, our move is coming much, much more quickly than expected.
Although we were anticipating renting our house, after talking with our realtor and hearing how much the market had improved in our area, we decided to give selling a go.

Our house went on the market on Friday around noon...
And sold by Saturday around 2:00 pm.

One day, two showings.
We have a signed contract, and a cash buyer.
Closing on March 29.

As most of you know, our move back to the Carolinas has been a long-time coming.
Florida will always be so special to us.
We got married here.
Bought our first home here.
Eric began his career here.
We adopted Pierre here.
I went to law school here.
And we both made some amazing friends here.

But being closer to family before we start a family of our own is really important to us.
And we're both "Southern" at heart.
And well, we just really miss having seasons.

We picked the Charlotte area for several reasons.
Namely because we loved the area when we were in undergrad,
and it's a good choice for both of us, career-wise.
Plus, it's just a little over an hour away from both of our families.

We're narrowing down short-term living options currently.
Short-term, because that way we have plenty of time to find a more long-term home in the best "niche" of town for us.
And because, well, we have to move in 18 days, and we really don't have time to house hunt!

So...any of you in the Charlotte area?
Let me know!!!
We'll be there soon!
In the meantime, I'll be packing.
