When Nerdy Became Cool

I have always had glasses. Since first grade, age 6. My vision is TERRIBLE. I can only hope that our children inherit Eric's eyesight.   A few years ago, I started having talks with my doctor about Lasik vision surgery.  While the thought was appealing initially, when it came down to it, I didn't really MIND my contacts (once I switched to daily throw-aways, that is), and when it came to my glasses, I was downright reluctant to give them up.  They've always just been a part of "me."

I suppose I've come to view my glasses as more of an accessory than I did when I was growing up, and I have several pairs in rotation at a time. Firmoo contacted me and offered a free pair of glasses for me to review, and I was game.

I prefer plastic frames to those with "nose pieces," because I just personally find them more comfortable, so I went with this pair, in tortoise. 

I'm pretty impressed with the quality of these glasses, honestly.  They're comfy, and the plastic is sturdy.  I also found the website pretty user friendly, and it was easy for me to enter my prescription information (call your eye doctor and ask for a copy). I also like that you can upload a photo of yourself to virtually "try on" the glasses before you order; I have a pretty small face, so this feature helped me make sure I wasn't ordering a pair of large frames that looked ridiculous and oversized on my face.
