[Day 2} of 31 Days of Balance: Past and Present

We spend so much time comparing then to now, and now to then. Were you thinner then than now? Are you making more money now but had more time then?  Were you confident then and shy now? Was your house spotless then, and now you're lucky to find time to sweep once a week? Is your marriage different now than what your original expectations were?

Maybe your life was better then, and maybe it's better now.  Do something about it if you need to - one small step toward change. Or...spend time celebrating the improvements you've made. Either way, focus on the now. Today. Learn from the past, but move on. Don't try to balance yester-year's events with today's.

It's much easier to balance a few things than to balance many things. Concentrate on doing what you can, with what you have, where you are...today. Tomorrow will fall into place.
